Pendley Creek Stables was built in 1995 by the late Bruce Prince for his wife Martha. The building is a two-story facility with the bottom floor housing 13 horse stalls and the loft acting as the event space. Inside the loft you will find 1000+ square feet of beautiful hardwood floors, a separate bar, refrigerator, microwave, and stereo system. We also offer a large pull-down screen and overhead projector to display movies and photos. There is a relaxing covered porch with fans overlooking the pasture and Pendley Creek. If you choose to have your event in the colder months, we have you covered with a gas furnace. In the warmer months, multiple ceiling fans keep the loft nice and cool.
We have held many successful events in the past 20 years ranging from weddings, to barn dances, to oyster roasts. There are many possibilities for your event and we do our best to accommodate. You may decide to have your wedding ceremony in the pasture with a beautiful arbor and the reception in the barn loft. Guest parking may be located in the pasture if the weather abides or located up the hill at Sharptop Baptist Church with their approval. We recommend a donation to Sharptop Baptist Church if their space is desired. We can recommend caterers, party supply companies, tent companies and other services if requested.
The barn loft will hold approximately 100 guests; of course you can have more or less depending if you choose to use the pasture in your set-up. Currently, we cannot offer restroom facilities unless your event will host 20 guests or less. We can refer you to local portable sanitation companies that would meet your needs for larger events.
We also offer several vintage pieces for your use including a church pew, a vintage cooler, mason jars, hand-made signs and other accessories.
